We start the ALNBench program, which we have downloaded from the Internet and installed in our computer.

We first click on the “Create ALN” button to set the number of columns in our data to two, corresponding to columns A and B in the spreadsheet. The output column is set to number 1, since the numbering of columns in ALNBench starts at 0.

Next we import the training set using the “File” menu. We import the “train.txt” file created earlier. Then we import the file “estimate.txt”, also created earlier, into our test window.
